The last female bee-hunter in Europe must save the bees and return the natural balance in Honeyland, when a family of nomadic beekeepers invade her land and threaten her livelihood. Honeyland is a documentary about the life and labors of Hatidze Muratova, one of the last wild beekeepers in Bekirlija, a remote village in North Macedonia. Shot over three years and condensed from more than 400 hours of footage, Honeyland tells a surreal but poignant story of human struggle, persistence, relationship with one another and with Mother nature.
